10 July 2006 – The Maidstone TV Studios signs two-year deal for chat show.
The Maidstone TV Studios in
Kent
has signed a two-year deal to host ‘The Trisha Goddard Show’ from September. The Talk Show will air for one hour daily on Channel Five from 10.30-11.30am.
Malcolm Allsop, managing director of Trisha’s TV production company, Town House TV, said: - “We are delighted to be moving to The Maidstone Studios which will provide us with excellent facilities in the heart of a tremendous catchment area for guest and audience.”
Part of the Town House TV production team will be based at Maidstone TV Studios 7 days a week. Trisha and the team were previously based at Teddington Studios for a year and before that at the Millennium Studio Elstree, in Borehamwood.
Kenton Oxley, General Manager, The Maidstone Studios, said: “We are extremely pleased that the Trisha Goddard Show will be produced at our studios. This is the first major chat show to be filmed here and we hope that it will attract many others. The Town House TV team has been very impressed with our space both inside and outside the building, and by our ability to be flexible and respond to their needs.”
The Maidstone Studios has recently undergone a massive refurbishment and re-launch of its facilities, including the construction of a purpose-built 12,000 sq ft studio, the refit of existing post production facilities and the renovation of production and hospitality facilities. It is the closest TV Broadcast Studio to
London
that qualifies for BBC, ITV and Channel 4 regional quota and is only 45 minutes from
London
Bridge
. They currently supplying ITV1 with over a sixth of it’s schedule.
