The UK ’s Largest TV Studio space to host Radio 1’s Big Weekend Aftershow

When the hunt began to find an outstanding space to throw the Radio 1 Big Weekend Aftershow we believed it was only fitting that the venue chosen was an iconic building with a rich history in creativity, originality, and artistic ability.  Four months later, we are delighted to announce that this bespoke event will be held at the state of the Studio 5 at Maidstone TV Studios in Kent

Fully air-conned and fully sound proof (allowing for a mammoth sound system to be installed with no escaping sound pollution) Studio 5 is the largest single TV Studio in the country with an epic floor space of 12,000 square feet and a capacity of over 2000.

Since it’s construction in 2001, Studio 5 has hosted such popular game shows as ‘Dale’s Supermarket Sweep’, ‘100 to 1’ and ‘Duel’.  Its transformation into a music venue for one night only marks a new chapter in the studios history and one that we hope you can all be a part of!
